Anonymous produces the prestigious annual, Champions to CureDuchenne Gala which takes place at the Balboa Bay Club in Newport Beach, California.  Part of the Gala tradition includes featuring a Celebrity Chef who prepares a unique meal created especially for the Gala guests as well as honoring individuals in the community who have been Champions for curing Duchenne. Green Bay Packer Clay Matthews has also been in attendance every year since he and Hawken (the son of CureDuchenne founders, Paul and Debra Miller) formed a special bond in 2011.

CureDuchenne is a national nonprofit organization dedicated to raising awareness and funds for Duchenne - the most devastating and lethal muscular disease in children. There are over 24,000 boys living with the disease in the United States alone, and most will not survive their mid-20s.

The organization was founded in 2003 and today, world’s leading scientists are working with CureDuchenne to help determine the most viable research projects to accelerate the clinical trial process.  CureDuchenne has funded seven projects that have gone into human clinical trials.  Their goal is to halt the progress of the disease by bringing potential life-saving drugs to help this generation of Duchenne boys.
