JOSH STAMER

Chief Strategy Officer

Josh is most passionate about helping successful individuals, families, and their trusted advisors to develop their passion for philanthropy and achieve levels of impact and fulfillment previously thought unattainable.

Josh grew up in San Francisco, before moving to Orange County, CA, where he completed bachelor’s degrees in both English Literature and Business Writing at California State University, Long Beach. He then moved to New South Wales where he studied International Business at the University of Wollongong.

Josh’s professional career spans leadership roles in the technology, financial services, and philanthropic sectors.

At SaaS technology pioneer, Workiva, Josh successfully on-boarded and developed client partnerships with some of the world’s largest banks, insurance companies, and mutual and hedge fund organizations. During his tenure, the firm grew from 200 to nearly 2,000 employees, and Josh helped lead the company’s entry into the financial services market. He provided expertise in compliance, risk management, regulation, and business development.

Josh then joined Foundation Source, where he served as a Senior Managing Director, working with wealth managers, financial advisors, attorneys, and philanthropists interested in formalizing charitable giving.

Over the last decade, Josh has partnered with trusted advisory teams to establish more private foundations than anyone in the country.

At Anonymous, Josh leads Philanthropic Strategy working alongside clients and their advisors to maximize the power of the charitable capital they deploy. His favorite conversations revolve around philanthropy’s ability to weave together family, world-improving impact, and profound fulfillment.

Josh is an expert in a variety of charitable giving vehicles and has been featured in Forbes and Barrons and speaks regularly about Generational Wealth Transfer, Engaging Wealth Management Professionals in Charitable Giving, and Entrepreneurial Philanthropy.

Josh and his wife Veronica serve on committees for St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital and The Young Life Foundations. They are parents to Baron and Gracie and try to keep up with their constant barrage of activities. Josh collects sunglasses, maintains a very average golf game, loves the Miami Dolphins and is hard at work on his first novel, a courtroom drama.
